2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 5 Due in Showrooms in March

WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ – BMW recently announced details about its newest hybrid, the 2012 BMW ActiveHybrid 5. Based on the BMW 535i Sedan, the ActiveHybrid 5 brings together BMW’s 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, an electric drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Freightliner M2 106 Hybrid

Powered by the Cummins ISB 6.7L engine with up to 325 hp and 750 lb.-ft. of torque, the M2 106 Hybrid comes with the Eaton parallel-electric hybrid system. This system features a 6-speed Ultrashift transmission, coupled with an electric motor that provides up to an additional 60 hp and 310 lb.-ft. of peak torque.
