Since 2013, the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Ill., has converted 32 mowers to run on propane autogas and plans to convert 19 more, pending approval of a grant application.
EarthWorks, a commercial landscaping company, is running its commercial lawn equipment on propane autogas, according to the Propane Council of Texas. The company said it has saved $41,600 in fuel costs.
Following a three-month pilot test utilizing B-100 in select city equipment, the City’s Parks Department now fuels all 800 diesel units in its fleet with B-20.
