Europcar New Zealand is now offering an all-electric vehicle fleet for rent in Auckland and Christchurch.
The auction gives bidders the opportunity to be the first owner of the brand’s first all-electric model before retail sales in the United States begin later this year.
Volkswagen has announced pricing for its 2015 e-Golf, the automaker's first battery-electric vehicle offered in the U.S. market. The e-Golf SEL Premium will retail for $36,265, when it goes on sale in November.
The zero emissions, four-door passenger Volkswagen e-Golf fully electric vehicle will launch in Asia and North America in late 2014 or early 2015. It will be available in Europe in spring 2014, according to Volkswagen.
