Johnson explained the history of Peachtree Corners, a planned community that was incorporated in 2011 and was designed specifically to facilitate real-world incubation of technology. Peachtree Corners owns the city infrastructure, so technology companies only need to go through one organization to greenlight tests. They aren’t charged for use of the smart city ecosystem.
