Ford Motor Co. has recalled an estimated 242,669 Ford Maverick trucks from the 2022 to 2024 model years due to issues with the Body Control Module (BCM) that may lead to their taillights not lighting up.
The recall affects 2020-2023 model year units with 2.5-liter hybrid or plug-in hybrid engines.
This marks the second year in a row a Ford vehicle has earned recognition from North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year jurors.
The 2.5L hybrid has an EPA-estimated rating of 37 mpg combined, 33 mpg highway, and an EPA-estimated range of more than 500 miles on a single tank of gas.
The Ford F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, and Maverick are gaining buyer interest and demand.
