Uniform and linen supplier AmeriPride Services Inc. is adding 20 propane autogas F-59 delivery trucks in Northern California later this year, the company announced at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

AmeriPride previously implemented five ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas Ford F-59 trucks in Topeka, Kan. The trucks to be added in Northern California are also from ROUSH.

Each of the propane autogas trucks is expected to emit about 95,000 fewer pounds of carbon dioxide emissions over its lifetime, according to AmeriPride.

To fuel its vehicles, AmeriPride installed a private autogas station with a 1,000-gallon tank at its Topeka facility. The company pays $1.55 per gallon for propane autogas that, historically, has cost up to 50 percent less than diesel.

The vehicles meet Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification requirements.
