ROUSH CleanTech has indefinitely halted production of its propane autogas powered Ford Transit full-size van, the company told AutomotiveFleet.com.

The decision resulted from concerns expressed by fleet owners about the economic viability of a lighter-duty van that uses propane autogas, according to Todd Mouw, vice president of sales and marketing.

ROUSH CleanTech, which is certified under Ford's Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) program, offers propane autogas versions of Ford's medium-duty E-Series vans.

ROUSH CleanTech had previously announced that the propane autogas powered Ford Transit would be available to fleet customers in the middle of 2016.
