Nissan has partnered with EVgo to build the I-95 Fast-Charge ARC that will connect Boston and Washington, D.C. via nine electric-vehicle DC fast-charge sites that will stretch 500 miles.

Most EVgo DC fast-charge sites are located just off the I-95 for easy access and will have 50 total chargers equipped with two fast-charging plugs each. They will have the capability of charging four or more EVs simultaneously at a power output of 50 kilowatts, and have been pre-wired for a high-power charging power output of up to 150 kW with simple upgrades once such technology is available to consumers.

The project was unveiled at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, and is scheduled to be complete this fall.
