Fuel for Thought

Find and Ignite Your Workplace Passion

Most folks are passionate about something related to their work.

Then, there are the special few who are driven by something extra. They might be known as “Monday lovers,” “Company-first men,” or “Married to their job.”

I bet all those extra-dedicated employees know why they are doing their work.

We humans have a need to know why we are part of something. As leaders, it’s our job to provide the answer to “why.” Once defined, it sets a common vision for a competitive workforce for which to strive. Success almost always immediately follows.

For example, at ROUSH, our racing team is an obvious source for a competitive passion, and, when you look through the halls of ROUSH CleanTech, you’ll find focused, driven, and committed staff working toward a common goal.

Here’s your fuel for thought: Surround yourself with those who are equally driven and passionate for a cause. Then, make sure a common “why” drives you and your staff. When that passion ignites, incredibly special things happen.
