Converting some of its public transportation vehicles to propane autogas, including several paratransit buses, is expected to save the UG fleet more than $100,000 per year in fuel costs.
UG Transit Predicts 74% Fuel Savings with Propane Conversions
By the end of April, the Unified Government (UG) of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kan., will have converted 13 buses and two pickup trucks to propane fuel. The transit fleet expects these converted vehicles to cut annual fuel costs by at least $100,000.
