Nine More Southeast Fleets Converting Vehicles to Propane Autogas

HARRISONBURG, VA -- Virginia Clean Cities announced that an additional nine fleets and more than 160 vehicles are joining the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program for vehicle conversions to propane autogas and the installation of on-site fueling stations.

Pennsylvania Fleets Attract $4.4M in Alt-fuel State Grants

HARRISBURG, PA -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection announced it will award more than $4.4 million in Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants to 12 projects across the state. The projects will help develop the state’s natural gas and electric vehicle infrastructure.

EPA Awards $50 Million for Clean Diesel Projects

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $50 million for clean diesel projects. These efforts will replace, retrofit or repower more than 8,000 older school buses, trucks, locomotives, vessels and other diesel-powered machines, the EPA said.

DOE Awards $8.5M to EV Deployment Projects

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Energy announced on Sept. 8 the department will fund 16 projects aimed at supporting community planning for plug-in electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. The projects will receive $8.5 million.

Eaton Corp. Produces Plug-in Hybrid Power for Fleets

Thanks to a $45.4 million grant for the U.S. Department of Energy, Eaton Corp. will provide plug-in hybrid electric commercial vehicles to more than 50 utility and municipal fleets nationwide. Eaton will also provide infrastructure for the electrical charging of these vehicles.

Nearly $300M in Clean Cities Grants Awarded

WASHINGTON - The Department of Energy has selected 25 cost-share projects under the Clean Cities program that will be funded with nearly $300 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
