Green Motion was honored with a Bronze Award from Green Tourism, a sustainable certification program.

A Green Tourism Award means that a business works responsibly, ethically, and sustainably, contributes to its community, is reducing its impact on the environment, and aims to be accessible and inclusive to all customers and staff.

To achieve accreditation, Green Motion's International head office was graded on-site by a qualified assessor against a rigorous set of criteria, covering a range of areas such as energy and water efficiency, waste management, biodiversity and social involvement and communication.

"There are many good practices in place from their recycling policy and systems to the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, hand soap, and supplying fair trade, organic tea, and coffee," Green Tourism Assessor Lisa Wilson said in a statement. "The head office fleet of vehicles are all low carbon, hybrids, or electric cars. All Green Motion customers are encouraged to offset their travel carbon with their Green Heart initiative."
