StreetScooter GmbH, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL, has sold 500 of its battery-electric vans to a German startup that will be used in cities as free-to-use, car sharing vehicles.

UZE Mobility, the German startup, aims to provide accessible electric mobility, which will be financed by by advertising and other data-controlled business models, according to the company. The acquisition also aims to reduce pollution from traffic, traffic accidents, emissions and noise in conurbations by 2025.

UZE Mobility is comprised of professionals from the fields of digitalization, blockchain, hardware development and fleet management with a long-standing international background and a network of global partners, the company said.
