The State of Nebraska will run 50 state vehicles on a 30% ethanol blend to see how the fuel performs in conventional engines, the Omaha World-Herald reported.

The pilot program will monitor the effects of E-15 and E-30 blends on vehicle performance, fuel economy, and emissions control systems on vehicles that include state patrol vehicles. None of these will be flex-fuel vehicles.
