Holman Parts Distribution has been added to the NAFA Fleet Management Association's Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program, the fleet association announced.

Holman Parts Distribution demonstrated a credible sustainability plan and has made progress toward "reducing its total emissions and the negative environmental impact made by extraneous carbon fuel usage," according to NAFA.

"Holman Parts Distribution sets an example that many more fleets can follow, and will be honored and recognized further for their leadership," said Phillip Russo, NAFA's chief executive. "NAFA expects that with the program's easy enrollment process, many more fleets will soon join it, bringing true and quantifiable sustainability improvements to these organizations."

NAFA's Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program includes tools and metrics to measure and score fleet progress in emissions reduction, fuel consumption, and increases in fuel efficiency.

The program complements the U.S. Department of Energy's National Fleet Partnership program and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay program, according to NAFA.
