Alliance AutoGas has signed on as a national sponsor of the National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey, which coincides with Earth Day showcases alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicle options.

National AFV Day Odyssey is a nationwide celebration conducted to educate the public about the importance of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles and to promote their widespread adoption. The event was created by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium, a program of West Virginia University, in 2002. The NAFTC has coordinated the nationwide Odyssey campaign since that time.

Harris Baker, president of Alliance AutoGas partner Pinnacle Propane, will speak on behalf of Alliance on the Gaseous Fuels (Natural Gas and Propane Autogas) panel at 10:30 a.m. on April 20 during the AFV Day Odyssey Summit.

"This is a great opportunity for promoting the use of propane autogas and educating numerous audiences on alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles," Baker said. "We are looking forward to the host of events and we are proud and honored to carry the Alliance AutoGas flag."

Besides the panel, you can find Alliance AutoGas at booth numbers 781 and 782, as well as at National AVF Day Odyssey events in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Virginia, and Indiana. Other sponsors include the Propane Education and Research Council. The U.S. DOE Clean Cities Program, West Virginia University, Earth Day Texas, and the Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities Coalition are national partners of the event.
