The current generation of the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid electric vehicle will cease production in June, a Toyota marketing representative announced on an online form.
"We are hard at work developing the next generation Prius Plug-in Hybrid and we are looking forward to sharing more details with you as we approach our launch date," said Nathan Kokes, a representative with Toyota's advanced technology vehicle marketing division.
Kokes made the announcement on a forum at the site PriusChat.
