Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) announced specifications and pricing for its updated 2016 i-MiEV, which will arrive at Mitsubishi’s U.S. dealers in late March.

Mitsubishi’s battery-electric has a starting MSRP of $22,995. After factoring in the federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP will be reduced to $15,495, the automaker said.

The i-MiEV includes a fully-transferable 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty for the vehicle’s lithium-ion battery pack and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, according to Mitsubishi.

“Mitsubishi Motors is committed to developing EV and PHEV technologies,” said Don Swearingen, MMNA executive vice president. “The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is a safe and reliable form of environmentally sustainable transportation, and is a great option for those looking for a 100-percent electric vehicle.”
