Symbio FCell has launched five Renault Kangoo ZE electric vehicles powered by its hydrogen fuel cell range extender, the French fuel cell company announced. The launch is part of a full fleet project led by the Conseil Général de la Manche, which will deploy 40 Kangoo ZE vehicles equipped with Symbio FCell’s range extender.

La Manche is one of the first departments in France to own a hydrogen filling station (active in Saint-Lo, France) and five plug-in hybrid battery fuel cell light vehicles, Symbio FCell said.

Symbio FCell provides mobility solutions based on the conversion of hydrogen to electricity thanks to PEM Fuel Cell systems, which provide from 5 kW to 300 kW of power under zero emission conditions.
