December diesel exhaust fluid prices will see some of the highest bulk DEF prices in 2014, according to DEF Tracker. There has been large month-to-month increase in DEF prices for all modes of supply in December.

December DEF prices were above the national average by 7 cents per gallon for FTL, 4 cents per gallon for LTL and 4 cents per gallon for tote deliveries. Canada was more stable seeing increases of 1 cent per liter and 2 cents per liter for FTL and tote respectively.

The average price of a 2.5 gallon jug increased in December by 1.1 cents per gallon over the previous month and Canadian jug prices strengthened 17 cents per liter.

The current national average for DEF pump prices in the U.S. ended the year at 2.79 per gallon, remaining unchanged for the 9th straight month.  Canadian pump prices were 80 cents per liter for the 7th straight month.
