General Motors is recalling 3,196 2011-2014 model-year Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans that run on compressed natural gas.

In the recalled vans, fuel might leak from the CNG high-pressure regulator and pose a fire risk, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The recall covers Chevrolet Express CNG vehicles manufactured from Sept. 10, 2010, to April 28 of this year, as well as GMC Savana CNG vehicles manufactured from May 23, 2011, to April 21 of this year.

To resolve the problem, GM dealers will replace the high-pressure regulator. There will be no charge for this service.

Van owners can reach Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 14321.
