Kia Motors has announced pricing for its battery-electric 2015 Kia Soul. The Soul EV will start at $33,700 for the base model and $35,700 for the Plus (not including a federal tax rebate of $7,500).
The Soul EV has an expected introductory lease price of $249 per month.
The Soul EV retails for $4,000 more than the Nissan LEAF, and offers a longer range. The Soul EV is EPA-estimated to run 93 miles per charge. The Underwriters Laboratory (UL) validated the new model for its innovated use of bio-based materials.
Some of the highlights of the car include a free smartphone UVO EV services app and in-car telematics system. However, there are still the standard features such as navigation, rear backup camera, Bluetooth, power windows, power driver’s seat, cruise control, a 6.6-kilowatt on-board charger and a special air-conditioning system aimed at reducing the amount of electricity it uses.
