The 2014 Propane Engine Fuel Summit is set to kick off the Texas Altcar Expo for the fourth consecutive year, in Irving, Texas, on March 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The summit will bring together some of the nation's top professionals in the alternative fuel industry, and fleet managers have the option to attend in person or tune into a free, live stream online at PropaneEngineFuelSummit.com.

Established by Dallas-Fort Worth Clean Cities (DFWCC), the summit will feature eight short panel sessions presented by propane retailers, OEMs, municipalities, and school districts operating propane-autogas-powered vehicles.

Panelists will discuss topics including new OEM vehicles and equipment, aftermarket conversions, refueling infrastructure, alternative fuel regulations, and fleet management. Bonus sessions will highlight fast-growing alternative fuel markets such as propane-autogas-powered schools buses and propane-powered mowers and forklifts.

"Propane autogas has become a driving force in the alternative fuel market due to its convenient refueling options, environmental benefits, and cost savings," said Tucker Perkins, chief business development officer of the Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) and the summit's moderator. "Our mission is to bring more information to transportation directors so they can make the best economical and environmental business decision for their fleet. The summit's new online format brings together real end-users and OEMs to have a discussion in a forum that's free and easy to access."

The summit will also include opening remarks and presentations from PERC, DFWCC, ROUSH CleanTech, the Industrial Truck Association, and CleanFuel USA. Participants are encouraged to interact with panelists through Q&A sessions throughout the day by submitting questions online, in real-time.

Sessions from the 2014 Propane Engine Fuel Summit will be available on demand after the conference at PropaneEngineFuelSummit.com. To register for the Propane Engine Fuel Summit or the Texas Altcar Expo, please visit Altcarexpotexas.com. To learn more about propane autogas, visit Autogasusa.org.
