California's Department of General Services has released a guide designed to help fleet managers with electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Guidance Document is "intended to assist facility and fleet managers in the planning, budgeting, installation, and data collection of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) at state-owned buildings, parking garages, and surface lots," according to the department.

In addition to guidance on charging station planning, the document goes into detail about the technology and the three types of EVSEs currently available, including Level 1 AC, Level 2 AC, and Level 3 DC.
