LOS ANGELES – Two dozen all-electric and plug-in electric models, more than a dozen clean-diesel vehicles, and nearly 20 vehicles achieving 40-plus mpg with advanced four-cylinder gasoline engines will be making their way to this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

With automakers incorporating multiple approaches to reach new benchmarks, all categories of vehicles will be well represented, according to the LA Auto Show.

"The green technology innovations demonstrated by automakers around the world continue to attract the attention of the car-buying public," said Andy Fuzesi, general manager of the LA Auto Show. "We're excited to be able to provide one of the world's best stages for manufacturers to display their very latest achievements that match virtually every budget."

So far, the LA Auto Show has announced the following vehicles will be on display:

  • Electric: Fiat 500e; Ford C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid, Fusion Energi plug-in, and Focus Electric; and Honda Accord plug-in.
  • Diesel: 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet and Mercedes-Benz GLK250 BlueTEC.
  • Gasoline: Dodge Dart Aero, Fiat 500 Abarth Cabriolet, and Mini Paceman.

The 2012 LA Auto Show will open Nov. 30-Dec. 9 for the public.
