WAUSAU, WI – Trillium CNG held a grand opening for its Class 8 Truck heavy-duty compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station Sept. 13 in central Wisconsin — the first station of its kind for the state, according to the company.

The new facility is located at the Riser BP Station and Travel Center in Rib Mountain near Wausau on Interstate 39, a major north-south Wisconsin highway.

During the event, Trillium offered a “CNG Experience” to attendees, featuring an educational seminar including channel partners Ryder, Paper Transport, Truck Country, Kulp Energy Services, and the Wisconsin State Energy Office sharing their experiences with CNG operations, safety, and the ability to reduce fuel costs. In addition, attendees were taken on a hands-on tour of the CNG fueling station.

The overarching message focused on the industry benefits of CNG, as well as examples of the company’s customer-focused solutions.
