DAVIS, CA – The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) is requesting Bay Area and Monterey Bay employer participation in the Employer Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness Survey to assess plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) readiness.

The survey deadline has been extended to Friday, Aug. 24. Survey responses will help the Air District learn what types of tools and resources would help employers, who are interested in PEV deployment, to successfully provide PEV infrastructure for their employees and fleets.

This survey represents the first step in a multistage planning process that is being conducted between March and November 2012, to develop plans that will enable the region to:

1. Identify the future sites and locations for PEV charging infrastructure.

2. Update building codes, zoning and parking rules, and ordinances in local jurisdictions to make them PEV ready

3. Accelerate the adoption of PEV in both public and private fleets

4. Increase the PEV infrastructure and vehicle manufacturing.

The survey takes approximately 5- 15 minutes to complete.
