DIXON, CA – Truck manufacturer Altec Industries expects to complete construction of a new manufacturing facility in Dixon, Calif., in April. The plant will assemble alternative-fuel, hybrid and all-electric utility trucks as well as aerial lifts, the Sacramento Bee reported.

Construction of the 43,000-square-foot facility is about two months ahead of schedule.

Altec told the newspaper it is partnering with longtime customer Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to develop a new generation of green utility vehicles at the Dixon plant. The truck manufacturer is also working closely with Southern California Edison to ensure Altec vehicles meet the needs of utility workers.

Altec is a leading provider of products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications and contractor markets. The company is an industry leader in bucket trucks and aerial lifts.
