SEAL BEACH, CA -- Clean Energy Fuels Corp. said it has signed an agreement with Waste Management to provide maintenance and repair services for the refuse company’s compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations throughout the United States.

Clean Energy will also provide engineering and construction services, as well as compression equipment, through its IMW Industries subsidiary at selected fueling stations.

Waste Management currently deploys about 1,000 natural gas-powered (CNG and LNG) solid waste collection and recycling trucks throughout North America, and has CNG and LNG fueling stations at 17 of its facilities with more under development.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to support Waste Management in its expanding efforts to deploy CNG truck fleets that provide environmentally friendly refuse collection and recycling services to its commercial and residential customer base,” said Raymond P. Burke, vice president of Clean Energy. “It is a clear leader in the industry converting its fleets to natural gas.”
