LOS ANGELES - A SoCal Collaborative EV Plug-In Readiness Series for Cities and Utilities event will take place at the University of California, Los Angeles on Oct. 22.

Presented by Clean Fuel Connection Inc., the all-day event will address the effects of plug-in electric vehicles on cities, universities, and utilities; their impact on the utility grid; and how cities can prepare and encourage the new vehicle technology.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and other regional elected officials will kick off the day, and building officials, fleet managers, and sustainability managers from cities, counties, universities, and utilities are expected to be in attendance. Automakers and charging equipment manufacturers will present their products, plug-in vehicles will be available to test drive, and new advances in medium- and heavy-duty plug-in vehicles will be presented.

Attendance is free but is limited. Attendees must register here.
