ANN ARBOR, MI - The City of Ann Arbor, Mich.'s Green Fleets program is the focus of this week's MotorWeek Clean Cities Success Story. Started in 2004 with a goal of reducing its fleet's petroleum reduction by 10 percent by 2012, the Green Fleets program has more than exceeded its original goal and has set a new goal to achieve a 30 percent reduction goal by the end of 2010. Ann Arbor uses a variety of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles and continues to look for new ways to keep its fleet green.

The segment will air on PBS stations nationwide starting Feb. 6. It will also be broadcast on the SPEED Channel on cable and satellite networks beginning Feb. 13. For show times in your area, check the MotorWeek and SPEED Channel Web sites.

Previous segments in the series are now available on the Alternative Fuels and Advanced Vehicles Data Center (AFDC) Web site. New segments will be posted as they air.
