PAUMA VALLEY, CA --- The Pauma Band of Mission Indians will soon team with Pacific Natural Energy to produce biodiesel from waste cooking oil.

Tribal members will be able to purchase the fuel at a discount, said PNE President Eric McCloud, and the tribe plans to run its casino tour bus fleet with the fuel, Biomass Magazine reported.

Pacific Natural Energy will provide the tribe with a modular biodiesel processing unit. The PNE 50 Bio-box system can generate more than 2 MMgy of biodiesel per year.
