DES PLAINES, IL – Wheels, Inc. recently hosted an Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) hybrid and alternative-fuel training seminar for technical specialists in the region at its corporate headquarters.

"As more and more clients move forward with environmental fleet initiatives, Wheels remains committed to ensuring that across the industry technicians serving all fleets are kept up-to-date on the latest technology and methods for keeping fleets green," said Jeff Whiteside, director of MAP and Collision Operations for Wheels, Inc.

The hybrid/alt-fuel course, a recent addition to the I-CAR curriculum, was taught by an I-CAR-certified expert. The course covered a range of topics, including ways to remove high voltage batteries and the benefits of using a vehicle that is powered with alternative fuel.

I-CAR is recognized across the automotive repair and insurance industries as the standard in collision repair and service certification. Wheels is an I-CAR "Gold Class" company — the highest recognition for training a business can earn in the collision industry, according to the company.
