Exelon, an energy utility, released Feb. 3 its Environmental, Social and Governance Report (ESG), which details the company's efforts to address the climate crisis and build a cleaner, more resilient energy grid.

The report states the utility is working to electrify 30% of its utility vehicle fleet (light- and heavy-duty) by 2025 and 50% by 2030. Electrifying 50% of the fleet could reduce more than 65,000 metric tons of emissions from 2020-2030.

The company launched an EVsmart Program at its utilities to promote the adoption of electric vehicles and associated infrastructure in 2019.
