Hyundai unveiled its Nexo next-generation hydrogen fuel cell vehicle with higher-level autonomy that should deliver a range of 609 kilometers (378 miles) and will initially be sold in South Korea, the company announced.

The Nexo will also offer Level 4 autonomous driving technology, including Driver State Warning safety technology that monitors a driver's facial expressions to recognize blinking, yawning and taking their gaze off the road for an extended period of time.

Hyundai demonstrated the technology in five vehicles in PyeongChang and Gangneung in February. The vehicle will go on sale in March. It's expected to reach the U.S. market in the fourth quarter.

Hyundai has set a goal of releasing 38 eco-friendly models aroudn the world by 2025.
