The City of Boise, Idaho, plans to add six battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to its fleet and invest in additional charging stations throughout the city, reported the Idaho Statesman

Three of the vehicles will be funded by a federal tax rebate that the city's waste collector, Republic Services, reseived for using compressed natural gas.

The city plans to purchase three Nissan Leafs, one Chevrolet Volt, one Ford Fusion, and one Ford Focus. It will also add charging stations at eight locations around the city.
