Audi is refreshing its A3 Sportback e-tron plug-in hybrid for 2017 with expanded technology features such as its virtual dashboard, rear-view camera, Apple CarPlay, and forward automatic braking.

The A3 Sportback e-tron continues to be powered by a 1.4L TSFI gasoline engine paired with an electric motor that produces 205 hp and 258 lb.ft- of torque. Audi introduced the plug-in hybrid for the 2016 model year.

For 2017, Audi is adding its Pre Sense Basic and Pre Sense Front forwad automatic braking system. Pre Sense Front will automatically brake the vehicle if the driver fails to respond to avoid a collision.

The A3 Sportback e-tron will retail for $39,850 for the Premium, $42,950 for the Premium Plus, and $48,500 for the Prestige.

Since its introduction, the A3 Sportback e-tron has made up 13% of A3 sales, according to Audi.
