BMW is developing its first production hydrogen fuel cell powered electric car for the market by 2020, according to a report from Auto Express.

BMW has collaborated with Toyota to develop a fuel cell system, and this collaboration could lead to the German automaker's next hydrogen fuel cell vehicle that may be called the i5, AutoCar reported last November.

Currently, BMW has the i3 battery-electric hatchback and i8 hybrid sports car in its “I” brand of alternative-fuel vehicles.
