Alkane Truck Company, a new OEM of Class 7-8 Trucks in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has released its propane autogas-powered cabover Class 7 truck to the U.S. market.

This truck will be available in two models — the P-26 rated at 26,000-pounds GVW and the P-33 rated at 33,000-pounds GVW.

These trucks are powered by the Ford Triton 6.8L V-10, 3-valve engine and equipped with the bi-phase liquid direct injection propane fuel system.

This announcement by Alkane Truck Company comes after many years of research and development and a substantial investment by its parent company, Noble Automotive Group.

"We are extremely pleased to unveil our alternative fuel vehicles to the U.S. marketplace," said Bob Smith, the company's founder and CEO. "We've worked diligently to design and deliver only the highest-quality alternative fuel-powered trucks that meet or exceed all performance, utility and safety specifications for the industry."

According to Steve Rayborn, National Sales Director, "Our trucks will be made available to the U.S. market through our network of select qualified dealers."
