MIAMI BEACH, FL -- Car Charging Group Inc. said it has agreed to provide electric vehicle (EV) charging services to Walgreens through the Coulomb Technologies’ ChargePoint Network.

The Walgreens drugstore chain has contracted Car Charging Group to provide public EV charging services at select Walgreens locations throughout the country. Car Charging Group will install, manage, maintain and own the EV charging stations on Walgreens properties throughout the United States.

“We have convenient locations along many major commuting corridors, and Walgreens is well positioned to be an ideal host for EV charging stations,” said Mark Wagner, Walgreens’ president of community management and operations. As a provider of health and wellness services in communities, we are pleased to be a destination for adopters of this green technology and for those committed to reducing their impact on the environment.”

Car Charging Group provides EV charging stations at no charge to property owners/managers while retaining ownership, thus allowing their partners to offer their customers, tenants and employees charging services with no out-of-pocket expenses. In addition, Car Charging Group’s partners realize a percentage of the charging revenue generated by the charging services paid for by the EV owners -- customers, tenants and employees.
