TAHLEQUAH, OK – A new compressed natural gas station, built by Tulsa Gas Technologies, opened for business Aug. 19 near Tahlequah, Okla., in Cherokee County.

The 24-hour station was funded by $1.65 million in federal stimulus funds and a $210,000 match from the Northwest Oklahoma Public Facilities Authority. Northeastern State University and NOPFA worked closely together in planning the station.
