WEST BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA - The Pennsylvania-based Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority plans to transition a major part of its refuse truck fleet from diesel to compressed natural gas (CNG), the Daily Review reported.

NTSWA is partnering with Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to design and install a CNG fueling station at NTSWA Landfill No. 2 in West Burlington Township. This CNG station, located at the entrance to the NTSWA Integrated Waste Management Facility along U.S. Route 6, will also serve other local fleets. Clean Energy will handle all third-party sales.

Clean Energy fuels over 18,300 vehicles at more than 200 strategic locations across the United States and Canada. It has a broad customer base in the refuse, transit, trucking, shuttle, taxi, airport and municipal fleet markets.
