NASHVILLE - A new electric vehicle charging station opened for business Aug. 27 in Nashville, the Tennessean newspaper reported.

The site of the EV-Charge America station, at 2612 Winford Ave., also includes a NoGasAmerica retail store. The store sells home EV charging equipment and other items.

For the first 200 who register, charging will be free for a year, said Jerry Geho of EV-Charge.

EV-Charge America is headquartered in Las Vegas. The company has developed networked fast-charging EV stations that can offer Level I and Level II J1772 connectivity.
