FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - CNGas Group Corp. said March 24 it had begun construction of a new compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Miami Gardens, Fla.

CNGas Group Corp. provides turn-key CNG infrastructure solutions for private and government fleets.

"We have been actively promoting the use of natural gas as an alternative fuel since CNG is a proven technology that results in huge savings in fuel expenses as well as tremendous tax benefits," said Charles Wainer, company CEO.

The new station is located on US 441, just south of Ives Dairy Road. The station will provide CNG for a number of local fleets, including that for the city of Miami Gardens. The fueling station, which will also begin serving the public in July of this year, will be fitted with quick-fill, self-service dispensers and a credit-card and fleet-card reader.

The company is planning additional locations throughout South Florida.
