SANTA MONICA, CA– Miles Electric Vehicles has appointed Kevin Czinger as president and chief executive officer.

“As our company has grown, we have recognized the need to broaden our management capacity, and I am delighted that Mr. Czinger has agreed to join our team,” said Founder and Chairman Miles Rubin.

Czinger has extensive operating experience and a track record of performance in start-up and emerging growth companies. Previously, he has served as a senior executive with Goldman Sachs, Bertelsmann AG, the Webvan Group, and Global Signal. Czinger has also been active at Benchmark Capital and as a senior managing director of Fortress Private Equity Funds. He is a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School where he remains active, and is a leader in the charter school initiative for inner cities through his sponsorship of Achievement First Schools.

Czinger will lead the MILES executive team, which consists of Jeff Boyd, chief operating officer, and Kevin Kiley, senior vice president of Manufacturing and Logistics.
