The City of Norman (Okla.) has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments to expand the storage tanks at its compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station to better meet demand during peak hours, reports the Norman Transcript.

The city's CNG station opened in 2012. It is open to the public and managed by the city's fleet management division. Norman's fleet division also maintains 87 CNG fleet vehicles, including refuse trucks.
