Tesla Motors is recalling approximately 90,000 Model S electric-powered luxury sedans so company service center technicians can inspect the front seat belt assemblies for a possible defect, Reuters reported.

If needed, the front seat belt assembly repair will be performed free of charge.

Tesla notified Model S owners of the recall by email. The recall covers all Model S sedans on a global scale. At issue is a bolt that attaches the seat belt assembly to the vehicle.

Tesla Motors operates about 125 service centers.
