The City of Stamford, Conn., went $290,000 over its fleet maintenance budget of $1.4 million, mostly due to winter weather, the Stamford Advocate reported.

The city’s director of operations said the overages are for tire replacements and unanticipated preventive maintenance and breakdowns. The city is reviewing the request for the extra funds.
