Toyota Develops Chip to Boost Hybrid Performance

GM Updates Global Goals for Emissions, Sustainability

Missing Welds Prompt Nissan LEAF Recall

Nissan North America is recalling 211 2014 model-year LEAF electric cars because the front structural member assembly may be missing welds, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

Chevrolet Spark EV Gets Smaller, Lighter Battery

The 2015 Spark EV battery will weigh 474 pounds, or 86 pounds less than GM's initial 2014 model. The new battery offers a storage capacity of 19 kilowatts per hour and uses 192 lithium-ion cells supplied by LG Chem.
