Calif. to Purchase 50% ZEVs by 2025

The State of California has increased its zero emission vehicle (ZEV) purchasing mandates for state agencies, bumping it up to 50% of light-duty replacement vehicles by 2025.

Natural Gas Utility Tests Larger Trailers

Fairbanks Natural Gas in Alaska is upgrading to larger trailers to transport liquefied natural gas to its customers. The utility first ran a pilot program using the custom-made trailer last fall, which has a 13,000-gallon capacity and can hold 30% more gas than traditional LNG trailers.

DC Water Uses Biodiesel to Fuel its Fleet

DC Water now uses biodiesel fuel to fuel all 230 of its diesel vehicles, including sewer trucks, utility and dump trucks, crane trucks, and crew cabs. The agency uses a B-20 blend of 20% biodiesel and 80% petroleum diesel.
